How To Uninstall libappstreamqt0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libappstreamqt0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libappstreamqt0

Qt4 library to access AppStream servicesDebian 8.0libs0.7.3-1
sudo apt-get remove libappstreamqt0

This will remove just the libappstreamqt0 package itself.

Uninstall libappstreamqt0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libappstreamqt0

This will remove the libappstreamqt0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libappstreamqt0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libappstreamqt0

Or similarly, like this libappstreamqt0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libappstreamqt0
