How To Uninstall libart2.0-cil On Debian 8

To uninstall libart2.0-cil just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libart2.0-cil

CLI binding for libart 2.3Debian 8.0cli-mono2.24.2-3
sudo apt-get remove libart2.0-cil

This will remove just the libart2.0-cil package itself.

Uninstall libart2.0-cil and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libart2.0-cil

This will remove the libart2.0-cil package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libart2.0-cil then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libart2.0-cil

Or similarly, like this libart2.0-cil

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libart2.0-cil
