How To Uninstall libasan0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libasan0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libasan0

AddressSanitizer -- a fast memory error detectorDebian 8.0libs4.8.4-1
sudo apt-get remove libasan0

This will remove just the libasan0 package itself.

Uninstall libasan0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libasan0

This will remove the libasan0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libasan0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libasan0

Or similarly, like this libasan0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libasan0
