How To Uninstall libaudit-common On Debian 8

To uninstall libaudit-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libaudit-common

Dynamic library for security auditing - common filesDebian 8.0libs1:2.4-1
sudo apt-get remove libaudit-common

This will remove just the libaudit-common package itself.

Uninstall libaudit-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libaudit-common

This will remove the libaudit-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libaudit-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libaudit-common

Or similarly, like this libaudit-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libaudit-common
