How To Uninstall libaudit-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libaudit-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libaudit-dev

Header files and static library for security auditingDebian 8.0libdevel1:2.4-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libaudit-dev

This will remove just the libaudit-dev package itself.

Uninstall libaudit-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libaudit-dev

This will remove the libaudit-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libaudit-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libaudit-dev

Or similarly, like this libaudit-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libaudit-dev
