How To Uninstall libbambamc-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libbambamc-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libbambamc-dev

Development files for reading and writing BAM (genome alignment) filesDebian 8.0libdevel0.0.50-1
sudo apt-get remove libbambamc-dev

This will remove just the libbambamc-dev package itself.

Uninstall libbambamc-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libbambamc-dev

This will remove the libbambamc-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libbambamc-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libbambamc-dev

Or similarly, like this libbambamc-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libbambamc-dev
