How To Uninstall libbambamc0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libbambamc0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libbambamc0

Runtime library for reading and writing BAM (genome alignment) filesDebian 8.0libs0.0.50-1
sudo apt-get remove libbambamc0

This will remove just the libbambamc0 package itself.

Uninstall libbambamc0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libbambamc0

This will remove the libbambamc0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libbambamc0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libbambamc0

Or similarly, like this libbambamc0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libbambamc0
