How To Uninstall libbatik-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libbatik-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libbatik-java

xml.apache.org SVG LibraryDebian 8.0java1.7+dfsg-5
sudo apt-get remove libbatik-java

This will remove just the libbatik-java package itself.

Uninstall libbatik-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libbatik-java

This will remove the libbatik-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libbatik-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libbatik-java

Or similarly, like this libbatik-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libbatik-java
