How To Uninstall libblacs-openmpi1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libblacs-openmpi1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libblacs-openmpi1

Basic Linear Algebra Comm. Subprograms - Shared libs. for OpenMPIDebian 8.0libs1.1-33
sudo apt-get remove libblacs-openmpi1

This will remove just the libblacs-openmpi1 package itself.

Uninstall libblacs-openmpi1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libblacs-openmpi1

This will remove the libblacs-openmpi1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libblacs-openmpi1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libblacs-openmpi1

Or similarly, like this libblacs-openmpi1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libblacs-openmpi1
