How To Uninstall libblktapctl0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libblktapctl0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libblktapctl0

Xen API blktapctl shared library (shared library)Debian 8.0libs2.0.90-3
sudo apt-get remove libblktapctl0

This will remove just the libblktapctl0 package itself.

Uninstall libblktapctl0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libblktapctl0

This will remove the libblktapctl0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libblktapctl0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libblktapctl0

Or similarly, like this libblktapctl0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libblktapctl0
