How To Uninstall libcairo2-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libcairo2-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcairo2-dbg

Cairo 2D vector graphics library (debugging symbols)Debian 8.0debug1.14.0-2.1+deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove libcairo2-dbg

This will remove just the libcairo2-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libcairo2-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcairo2-dbg

This will remove the libcairo2-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcairo2-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcairo2-dbg

Or similarly, like this libcairo2-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcairo2-dbg
