How To Uninstall libcamel1.2-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcamel1.2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcamel1.2-dev

Development files for libcamelDebian 8.0libdevel3.12.9~git20141128.5242b0-2+deb8u3
sudo apt-get remove libcamel1.2-dev

This will remove just the libcamel1.2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcamel1.2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcamel1.2-dev

This will remove the libcamel1.2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcamel1.2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcamel1.2-dev

Or similarly, like this libcamel1.2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcamel1.2-dev
