How To Uninstall libccfits0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libccfits0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libccfits0

shared library for I/O with FITS format data filesDebian 8.0libs2.4+dfsg-3
sudo apt-get remove libccfits0

This will remove just the libccfits0 package itself.

Uninstall libccfits0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libccfits0

This will remove the libccfits0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libccfits0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libccfits0

Or similarly, like this libccfits0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libccfits0
