How To Uninstall libccid On Debian 8

To uninstall libccid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libccid

PC/SC driver for USB CCID smart card readersDebian 8.0libs1.4.18-1
sudo apt-get remove libccid

This will remove just the libccid package itself.

Uninstall libccid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libccid

This will remove the libccid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libccid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libccid

Or similarly, like this libccid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libccid
