How To Uninstall libchromaprint-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libchromaprint-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libchromaprint-dev

audio fingerprinting library - development filesDebian 8.0libdevel1.2-1
sudo apt-get remove libchromaprint-dev

This will remove just the libchromaprint-dev package itself.

Uninstall libchromaprint-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libchromaprint-dev

This will remove the libchromaprint-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libchromaprint-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libchromaprint-dev

Or similarly, like this libchromaprint-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libchromaprint-dev
