How To Uninstall libcigicl1-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libcigicl1-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcigicl1-dbg

debug symbols for the CIGI class library (CCL)Debian 8.0debug3.3.3a+svn818-7
sudo apt-get remove libcigicl1-dbg

This will remove just the libcigicl1-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libcigicl1-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcigicl1-dbg

This will remove the libcigicl1-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcigicl1-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcigicl1-dbg

Or similarly, like this libcigicl1-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcigicl1-dbg
