How To Uninstall libcigicl1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libcigicl1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcigicl1

runtime library for the CIGI class library (CCL)Debian 8.0libs3.3.3a+svn818-7
sudo apt-get remove libcigicl1

This will remove just the libcigicl1 package itself.

Uninstall libcigicl1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcigicl1

This will remove the libcigicl1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcigicl1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcigicl1

Or similarly, like this libcigicl1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcigicl1
