How To Uninstall libclips On Debian 8

To uninstall libclips just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libclips

CLIPS shared librariesDebian 8.0libs6.24-3
sudo apt-get remove libclips

This will remove just the libclips package itself.

Uninstall libclips and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libclips

This will remove the libclips package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libclips then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libclips

Or similarly, like this libclips

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libclips
