How To Uninstall libcmocka-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcmocka-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcmocka-dev

development files for the CMocka unit testing frameworkDebian 8.0libdevel0.4.1-2
sudo apt-get remove libcmocka-dev

This will remove just the libcmocka-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcmocka-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcmocka-dev

This will remove the libcmocka-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcmocka-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcmocka-dev

Or similarly, like this libcmocka-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcmocka-dev
