How To Uninstall libcolorhug-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcolorhug-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcolorhug-dev

library to access the ColorHug colourimeter -- development filesDebian 8.0libdevel1.2.1-1+b2
sudo apt-get remove libcolorhug-dev

This will remove just the libcolorhug-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcolorhug-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcolorhug-dev

This will remove the libcolorhug-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcolorhug-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcolorhug-dev

Or similarly, like this libcolorhug-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcolorhug-dev
