How To Uninstall libcommons-daemon-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libcommons-daemon-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcommons-daemon-java

Library to launch Java applications as daemonsDebian 8.0java1.0.15-6+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libcommons-daemon-java

This will remove just the libcommons-daemon-java package itself.

Uninstall libcommons-daemon-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcommons-daemon-java

This will remove the libcommons-daemon-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcommons-daemon-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcommons-daemon-java

Or similarly, like this libcommons-daemon-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcommons-daemon-java
