How To Uninstall libcpl-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcpl-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcpl-dev

ESO library for automated astronomical data-reductionDebian 8.0libdevel6.5-1
sudo apt-get remove libcpl-dev

This will remove just the libcpl-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcpl-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcpl-dev

This will remove the libcpl-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcpl-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcpl-dev

Or similarly, like this libcpl-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcpl-dev
