How To Uninstall libcppdb-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcppdb-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcppdb-dev

SQL Connectivity Library (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel0.3.1+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove libcppdb-dev

This will remove just the libcppdb-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcppdb-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcppdb-dev

This will remove the libcppdb-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcppdb-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcppdb-dev

Or similarly, like this libcppdb-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcppdb-dev
