How To Uninstall libcpufreq0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libcpufreq0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcpufreq0

shared library to deal with the cpufreq Linux kernel featureDebian 8.0libs008-1
sudo apt-get remove libcpufreq0

This will remove just the libcpufreq0 package itself.

Uninstall libcpufreq0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcpufreq0

This will remove the libcpufreq0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcpufreq0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcpufreq0

Or similarly, like this libcpufreq0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcpufreq0
