How To Uninstall libcrystalhd-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libcrystalhd-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcrystalhd-dev

Crystal HD Video Decoder (development files)Debian 8.0libdevel1:0.0~git20110715.fdd2f19-11
sudo apt-get remove libcrystalhd-dev

This will remove just the libcrystalhd-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcrystalhd-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcrystalhd-dev

This will remove the libcrystalhd-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcrystalhd-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcrystalhd-dev

Or similarly, like this libcrystalhd-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcrystalhd-dev
