How To Uninstall libcupsfilters1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libcupsfilters1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcupsfilters1

OpenPrinting CUPS Filters - Shared libraryDebian 8.0libs1.0.61-5+deb8u3
sudo apt-get remove libcupsfilters1

This will remove just the libcupsfilters1 package itself.

Uninstall libcupsfilters1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcupsfilters1

This will remove the libcupsfilters1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcupsfilters1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcupsfilters1

Or similarly, like this libcupsfilters1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcupsfilters1
