How To Uninstall libcurl3-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libcurl3-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcurl3-dbg

debugging symbols for libcurl (OpenSSL, GnuTLS and NSS flavours)Debian 8.0debug7.38.0-4+deb8u5
sudo apt-get remove libcurl3-dbg

This will remove just the libcurl3-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libcurl3-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcurl3-dbg

This will remove the libcurl3-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcurl3-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcurl3-dbg

Or similarly, like this libcurl3-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcurl3-dbg
