How To Uninstall libcvm1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libcvm1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcvm1

Credential Validation Modules (shared libraries)Debian 8.0libs0.96-1.1
sudo apt-get remove libcvm1

This will remove just the libcvm1 package itself.

Uninstall libcvm1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcvm1

This will remove the libcvm1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcvm1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcvm1

Or similarly, like this libcvm1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcvm1
