How To Uninstall libcwiid1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libcwiid1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcwiid1

library to interface with the wiimote -- runtime filesDebian 8.0libs0.6.00+svn201-3.1
sudo apt-get remove libcwiid1

This will remove just the libcwiid1 package itself.

Uninstall libcwiid1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcwiid1

This will remove the libcwiid1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcwiid1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcwiid1

Or similarly, like this libcwiid1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcwiid1
