How To Uninstall libdbm-ocaml On Debian 8

To uninstall libdbm-ocaml just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdbm-ocaml

binding to the NDBM/GDBM Unix databases (runtime)Debian 8.0ocaml1.0-2
sudo apt-get remove libdbm-ocaml

This will remove just the libdbm-ocaml package itself.

Uninstall libdbm-ocaml and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdbm-ocaml

This will remove the libdbm-ocaml package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdbm-ocaml then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdbm-ocaml

Or similarly, like this libdbm-ocaml

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdbm-ocaml
