How To Uninstall libdconf1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libdconf1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdconf1

simple configuration storage system - runtime libraryDebian 8.0libs0.22.0-1
sudo apt-get remove libdconf1

This will remove just the libdconf1 package itself.

Uninstall libdconf1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdconf1

This will remove the libdconf1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdconf1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdconf1

Or similarly, like this libdconf1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdconf1
