How To Uninstall libderby-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libderby-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libderby-java

Apache Derby Database Engine and Embedded JDBC DriverDebian 8.0java10.10.2.0-1
sudo apt-get remove libderby-java

This will remove just the libderby-java package itself.

Uninstall libderby-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libderby-java

This will remove the libderby-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libderby-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libderby-java

Or similarly, like this libderby-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libderby-java
