How To Uninstall libdiscover2 On Debian 8

To uninstall libdiscover2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdiscover2

hardware identification libraryDebian 8.0libs2.1.2-7
sudo apt-get remove libdiscover2

This will remove just the libdiscover2 package itself.

Uninstall libdiscover2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdiscover2

This will remove the libdiscover2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdiscover2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdiscover2

Or similarly, like this libdiscover2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdiscover2
