How To Uninstall libdistro-info-perl On Debian 8

To uninstall libdistro-info-perl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdistro-info-perl

information about distributions' releases (Perl module)Debian 8.0perl0.14
sudo apt-get remove libdistro-info-perl

This will remove just the libdistro-info-perl package itself.

Uninstall libdistro-info-perl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdistro-info-perl

This will remove the libdistro-info-perl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdistro-info-perl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdistro-info-perl

Or similarly, like this libdistro-info-perl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdistro-info-perl
