How To Uninstall libdmraid-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libdmraid-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdmraid-dev

Device-Mapper Software RAID support tool - header filesDebian 8.0libdevel1.0.0.rc16-5
sudo apt-get remove libdmraid-dev

This will remove just the libdmraid-dev package itself.

Uninstall libdmraid-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdmraid-dev

This will remove the libdmraid-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdmraid-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdmraid-dev

Or similarly, like this libdmraid-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdmraid-dev
