How To Uninstall libdnet-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libdnet-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdnet-dev

DECnet development libraries & HeadersDebian 8.0libdevel2.64
sudo apt-get remove libdnet-dev

This will remove just the libdnet-dev package itself.

Uninstall libdnet-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdnet-dev

This will remove the libdnet-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdnet-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdnet-dev

Or similarly, like this libdnet-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdnet-dev
