How To Uninstall libdnet On Debian 8

To uninstall libdnet just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdnet

DECnet LibrariesDebian 8.0libs2.64
sudo apt-get remove libdnet

This will remove just the libdnet package itself.

Uninstall libdnet and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdnet

This will remove the libdnet package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdnet then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdnet

Or similarly, like this libdnet

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdnet
