How To Uninstall libdtd-parser-java On Debian 8

To uninstall libdtd-parser-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdtd-parser-java

Java library for parsing XML DTDsDebian 8.0java1.2~svn20110404-1
sudo apt-get remove libdtd-parser-java

This will remove just the libdtd-parser-java package itself.

Uninstall libdtd-parser-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdtd-parser-java

This will remove the libdtd-parser-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdtd-parser-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdtd-parser-java

Or similarly, like this libdtd-parser-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdtd-parser-java
