How To Uninstall libecm0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libecm0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libecm0

Factor integers using the Elliptic Curve Method (library)Debian 8.0libs6.4.4-2
sudo apt-get remove libecm0

This will remove just the libecm0 package itself.

Uninstall libecm0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libecm0

This will remove the libecm0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libecm0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libecm0

Or similarly, like this libecm0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libecm0
