How To Uninstall libecryptfs0 On Debian 8

To uninstall libecryptfs0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libecryptfs0

ecryptfs cryptographic filesystem (library)Debian 8.0libs103-5+deb8u1
sudo apt-get remove libecryptfs0

This will remove just the libecryptfs0 package itself.

Uninstall libecryptfs0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libecryptfs0

This will remove the libecryptfs0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libecryptfs0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libecryptfs0

Or similarly, like this libecryptfs0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libecryptfs0
