How To Uninstall libedac-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libedac-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libedac-dev

report kernel-detected PCI and ECC RAM errorsDebian 8.0libdevel0.18-1
sudo apt-get remove libedac-dev

This will remove just the libedac-dev package itself.

Uninstall libedac-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libedac-dev

This will remove the libedac-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libedac-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libedac-dev

Or similarly, like this libedac-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libedac-dev
