How To Uninstall libedf1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libedf1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libedf1

European Data Format library - libsDebian 8.0libs1.10-1
sudo apt-get remove libedf1

This will remove just the libedf1 package itself.

Uninstall libedf1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libedf1

This will remove the libedf1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libedf1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libedf1

Or similarly, like this libedf1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libedf1
