How To Uninstall libeio-dev On Debian 8

To uninstall libeio-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libeio-dev

EIO headers and static librariesDebian 8.0libdevel1.8.6-2.1+b2
sudo apt-get remove libeio-dev

This will remove just the libeio-dev package itself.

Uninstall libeio-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libeio-dev

This will remove the libeio-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libeio-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libeio-dev

Or similarly, like this libeio-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libeio-dev
