How To Uninstall libeio1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libeio1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libeio1

Library providing non-blocking I/O using threadsDebian 8.0libs1.8.6-2.1+b2
sudo apt-get remove libeio1

This will remove just the libeio1 package itself.

Uninstall libeio1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libeio1

This will remove the libeio1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libeio1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libeio1

Or similarly, like this libeio1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libeio1
