How To Uninstall libelf-freebsd-1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libelf-freebsd-1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libelf-freebsd-1

library to read and write ELF filesDebian 8.0libs10.1~svn273304-1
sudo apt-get remove libelf-freebsd-1

This will remove just the libelf-freebsd-1 package itself.

Uninstall libelf-freebsd-1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libelf-freebsd-1

This will remove the libelf-freebsd-1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libelf-freebsd-1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libelf-freebsd-1

Or similarly, like this libelf-freebsd-1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libelf-freebsd-1
