How To Uninstall libemotion1 On Debian 8

To uninstall libemotion1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libemotion1

Media object creation/manipulation libraryDebian 8.0libs1.8.6-2.1+b2
sudo apt-get remove libemotion1

This will remove just the libemotion1 package itself.

Uninstall libemotion1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libemotion1

This will remove the libemotion1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libemotion1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libemotion1

Or similarly, like this libemotion1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libemotion1
