How To Uninstall libengine-pkcs11-openssl On Debian 8

To uninstall libengine-pkcs11-openssl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libengine-pkcs11-openssl

OpenSSL engine for PKCS#11 modulesDebian 8.0libs0.1.8-4
sudo apt-get remove libengine-pkcs11-openssl

This will remove just the libengine-pkcs11-openssl package itself.

Uninstall libengine-pkcs11-openssl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libengine-pkcs11-openssl

This will remove the libengine-pkcs11-openssl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libengine-pkcs11-openssl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libengine-pkcs11-openssl

Or similarly, like this libengine-pkcs11-openssl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libengine-pkcs11-openssl
