How To Uninstall libexempi3-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall libexempi3-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libexempi3-dbg

library to parse XMP metadata (Debug files)Debian 8.0debug2.2.1-2
sudo apt-get remove libexempi3-dbg

This will remove just the libexempi3-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libexempi3-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libexempi3-dbg

This will remove the libexempi3-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libexempi3-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libexempi3-dbg

Or similarly, like this libexempi3-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libexempi3-dbg
