How To Uninstall libexempi3 On Debian 8

To uninstall libexempi3 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libexempi3

library to parse XMP metadata (Library)Debian 8.0libs2.2.1-2
sudo apt-get remove libexempi3

This will remove just the libexempi3 package itself.

Uninstall libexempi3 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libexempi3

This will remove the libexempi3 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libexempi3 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libexempi3

Or similarly, like this libexempi3

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libexempi3
