How To Uninstall libexif12 On Debian 8

To uninstall libexif12 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libexif12

library to parse EXIF filesDebian 8.0libs0.6.21-2
sudo apt-get remove libexif12

This will remove just the libexif12 package itself.

Uninstall libexif12 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libexif12

This will remove the libexif12 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libexif12 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libexif12

Or similarly, like this libexif12

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libexif12
